frequently asked appointment questions
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
The only thing you absolutely need to bring is yourself!
In addition to our beautiful wedding dresses, we also offer a variety of accessories in-store that you’re welcome to try on with each gown. If you’d like, feel free to bring a clean pair of heels—sometimes a little extra height helps you better picture your final look.
If you have any special items you’d like to incorporate - like your mum’s tiara or your best friend’s veil - please bring them along so you can see how they work with different bridal dresses.
Do I need to wear any specific underwear?
We recommend wearing nude underwear, and there’s no need to wear a bra unless you prefer to—many of our wedding dresses come with built-in support, so you may not need one for your big day. Going without can also help you better envision styles with low backs or plunging necklines. That said, if you’re more comfortable in a bra, you’re more than welcome to wear one.
Who should I bring with me?
The simplest answer is: bring the people whose opinions mean the most to you.
Whether that’s your mum, dad, grandmother, best friend—or even your fiancé (yes, some brides do, and that’s perfectly okay)—what truly matters is thinking about who you’ll want to turn to in that special moment when you’re standing in the dress, seeking that all-important second opinion. That’s the person you should have by your side.
Keep in mind, the more people you bring, the more opinions you’ll hear—so it’s important to focus on the voices that really resonate with you.
Can I bring a child with me?
Yes, children are welcome in our store! We kindly ask that they are supervised by you at all times during your appointment.
We completely understand that little ones may need snacks—if so, we just ask that you stick to clean, mess-free options and ensure any crumbs or spills are tidied up afterward. A quick wipe of hands and faces is appreciated to help keep our dresses and bridal showroom in pristine condition.
For safety reasons, children must not enter staff-only areas and should remain within your care at all times. Please note that any damages to store property will need to be covered.
Do I need to know my budget?
Most brides have a budget in mind—even if it’s not always easy to talk about. If you'd rather not share yours, that's completely okay. However, please don’t hesitate to let us know if you feel comfortable—we’d hate for you to fall in love with a wedding dress that’s beyond what you’re hoping to spend.
To give you an idea, dresses in our bridal outlet are typically offered at half price or more off the original RRP, making them fantastic value. Most of these styles are from previous collections and are often discontinued, which means they can’t be reordered in other sizes. So, if you find the one during your visit, please keep in mind that we can’t guarantee it will still be available if you decide to come back later.
How should I wear my hair for my appointment?
If you already know that you’ll be wearing your hair up on your wedding day - whether in a sleek bun, a romantic style, or a soft up-do - we recommend arriving with it loosely pinned or styled in a similar way for your appointment. Having your hair up while trying on dresses can really help you visualise how everything will come together, especially if your gown has details like an open back, intricate straps, or embellishments around the neckline. It’s a small step that can make a big difference in helping you see the full picture of your bridal look.
